New Class: Walking with God Through Pain and Suffering

Sed Charic and Lynn Thomas are leading Walking with God through Pain and Suffering by Tim Keller on Wednesdays from 6:15-7:30 p.m. in Room 163. This class will be a time to process the pain and suffering you feel in life and how God meets or doesn't seem to meet us in those times. Sed Charic is a trained Stephen Minister, Certified Lay Servant and part of the praise band. Lynn Thomas leads St. John UMC's monthly book club and participates in Monday Morning Women. They are both members of the Care and Spiritual Formation Team.

Western Alaska Disaster Response

We join in prayer for all who have been impacted by Typhoon Halong. We know homes have been swept away and destroyed by flooding and hurricane-force winds, especially in the communities of Kwigillingok, Kipnuk, Napakiak, and Tuntutuliak where the storm hit the hardest. We pray especially for those who are missing, for their loved ones, and for those who have lost their livelihoods and homes. We know recovery support will be needed for these communities. You can support these efforts financially by giving here and choosing Western Alaska Disaster Response #674.
