The sharing of our time, our talents, our gifts, and our service is important to our growth as Christian disciples. it is critical that we make God’s call to be financially generous to others an integral part of our faith journey. Regularly giving or tithing is a practice of discipleship that builds trust in God and an integral part of our faith journey. It slowly creates the realization that your resources come from God, that you have been gifted, and that you are called to pass along the gift to others. Giving through St John changes people's lives right here in Anchorage, and around the world.

CASH GIFTS

Worship Offerings : You can contribute your tithes and offerings through the offering plate during our Sunday Services.

By Mail : Donations may be mailed directly to St John UMC at 1801 O’Malley Rd., Anchorage, AK 99507

NON - CASH GIFTS

Stocks and Mutual Funds : You can usually deduct the full fair market value of appreciated long-term assets you've held for more than one year, such as stocks, bonds or mutual funds. In addition, if you donate stocks or other investments, you pay no capital gains tax. Contact us to receive the necessary forms at members@stjohnanchorage.org or check with your financial advisor. Giving appreciated assets may be a convenient way to maximize your giving.  Individuals should check with their financial advisor.
